Fabrice Cure grew up in St. Tropez and La Garde Freinet in the South of France. He studied ceramic art and pottery in Cannes and then graphic design and illustration in Nimes. He has been a member of the Association of Illustrators since 1995.
His work was published from the age of 17 and worked on many commissions during his time in Paris, including for Les Studios de France and in television advertising where his role was to produce original, creative ideas.
He was later commissioned to produce an illustrated history of military costumes, on giant canvas, for the Regiment of the City of Dijon and also illustrated a book on the same theme. He was awarded a medal, presented by the Mayor of Dijon for his efforts !
Fabrice returned to Paris producing cover illustrations for the judicial magazine “La Gazette du Palais” and also published a “bande dessinée” series in two magazines.
He came to live in Petersfield, Hampshire, during the 90's and worked on various commissions including portraits in oil, illustrations and also – as in Paris – corporate images, logos, illustrations and exhibitions for several organisations and held several private exhibitions. His daughter, Olivia, was born in 1997.
Fabrice returned to live in the South West of France with his partner and daughter for several years during which time he exhibited in various locations, galleries and festivals, illustrated book covers and took several private commissions.
He has now returned to England, continuing to paint a wide variety of subjects from the romantics, to his current project around Jazz, its roots to current day.
